CLARKSBURG — Morgantown Post 2’s Avante Neal collected three hits and drove in three runs in Morgantown’s blowout 12-1 win over Clarksburg Post 13 on Tuesday night.
Neal’s three hits were team-leading, but Jacob Kennell, Ty Galusky and Ethan Smith each collected two. Kennell and Cody Thomas also had two RBIs apiece.
Post 2 scored a run in the 2nd inning, but erupted in the 5th, scoring five runs in the 3rd. It continued in the 5th and 6th with three runs in each frame.
Jacob Spearen was dominant on the mound for Post 2, going all six innings, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out three.
Morgantown (7-2) will host Bridgeport at 7 p.m. Wednesday
