Larry Franklin Menear, 68, of Vanderbilt (Dunbar Township), Pa., passed away on his birthday, Saturday, July 3, 2021, at his residence. Larry was born July 3, 1953, in Morgantown, a son of the late Carl P. “Todd” and Dorothy Ula (Johnson) Menear. He married Jodie L. (Strickler) Menear, on May 31, 2014.
Larry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was employed for 32 years as a transporter with the Davis Lynch Glass Factory in Morgantown. He also worked for Valiant Security and was a graduate of University High School, Class of 1971. Years ago, he enjoyed hunting and was an avid fan of classic cars.
Larry will be sadly missed by his loving family: his wife of seven years, Jodie L. (Strickler) Menear; his daughter, Amy Menear and her companion Mike Falter, of Morgantown, and her mother, Rebecca Menear; his three grandsons, Devon and Jayden Falter, both of Morgantown, and Derek Falter (fiancé, Ashley Haywood), of Carmichaels, Pa.; his great-granddaughter, Isla Daisy Falter; his stepdaughter, Jessica Tennant and husband Chris, of Daybrook; and his step-grandchildren, Lillian, Rosalin, Magnolia, Violet and Rowan Tennant, all of Daybrook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Joyce (Lynch) Menear; his brother, Carl “Danny” Menear; and his niece, Melissa Ann Menear.

Family and friends will be received in the funeral home chapel, from 3-7 p.m., Thursday, and from 10-11 a.m., Friday, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Raymond Morris officiating.
