Jeffrey Dale McArdle, 68, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Mon Health Medical Center. Jeff went through several years of declining health, but is now free from his pain.
He was born April 30, 1953, in Morgantown, a son of Charalla Kitzmiller, of Farmington, Pa., and the late Joseph Franklin McArdle. Jeff is also the stepson of Ann Ramsey McArdle, of Morgantown.
Jeff is survived by two children, Jared McArdle and his wife Stephanie, of Morgantown, and Jackie McArdle, of Morgantown; four grandchildren, Kamille, Aaden, Graycen and Kane McArdle; one brother, Stacey McArdle, of Philo, Ohio; two stepsisters, Karen Bryan, of Mount Morris, Pa., and Barbara Walters, of Morgantown; and his friend and neighbor, Judy Kraycar.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a stepbrother, James Walters.
Jeff was a long-time employee at Morgantown Machine and Hydraulics. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who also loved cooking and reading. He was involved in primitive camping and was a huge fan of Jeopardy.
Friends may join the family to honor Jeff’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover/Morgantown, from 1-3 pm. and
6-8 p.m., Tuesday, July 6, and again from 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, until the time
of the service at 11 a.m.
with Jeff’s uncle, Tony Kitzmiller, officiating. Following the funeral service and at Jeff’s request, he will be cremated.
