Activity Path in Star City

Newsroom@DominionPost.com

WVU Monongalia County Extension 4-H employees painted an activity path Thursday near Tugboat Depot in Star City, between the lower parking lot with the gazebo to the bathroom on the  trail. Earlier in the day, they also painted a path at Mason-Dixon Park.

WVU Monongalia County Extension 4-H received a grant from the Center for Active WV to paint activity paths at  local elementary schools, as well as community parks and youth organization areas such as  The Shack Neighborhood House. The activity paths are  stenciled, painted paths that include  interactive graphics, like stones that people can jump on, with other instructions on the pathways.

Heather Tanton and Becca Flint-Clark lay out a stencil to continue painting the activity path.
