Judith “Judy” Ann Bissett, 70, passed away at her home on Monday, May 31, 2021. Judy was born in Morgantown on June 16, 1950, to the late James and Jessie Heston Smallwood.
Judy spent her time caring for her family at home and found her greatest joy spending time with her family.
Judy leaves behind her sons, Richard A. Bissett (Shaundra), of Morgantown, and David Bissett (Marsha), of Reedsville; grandchildren, Cody Bissett, Garrett Bissett and Riley Bissett; great-granddaughter, Mariah Bissett; sister, Carol Forman, of New York, and Bonnie McCabe, of Morgantown; brothers, Don Smallwood, Ed Smallwood and Roy Smallwood; a niece and caregiver, Sharon Frum; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bissett; brothers, Denny Smallwood, James “Bud” Smallwood, Larry Smallwood and Daniel “Danny” Smallwood; and a sister-in-law, Carol Smallwood.
Family and friends are invited to gather at McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Rd., Morgantown, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 3. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. Friday, until the 11 a.m. funeral service with the Rev. Dr. David Spence officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery. Due to COVID-19, masks should be worn, social distancing practiced and time inside the funeral home limited to 15 minutes.
