Benson Junior “Benny” Rogers, 46, passed away April 7, 2021, in Fairmont. Benny was battling stage four cancer at the time of his passing.
He was born June 17, 1974, in Morgantown, a son of the late Earl Benson Rogers and the late Norma Jean (Johnson) Rogers.
Benson was an adventurous person, as he loved being outdoors, searching the skies for eagles and spending time with his children and grandson. He was always a very humble person who worried about others’ needs. He would give the shirt off of his back to someone who needed it.
He is survived by his stepmother, Delores Rogers and her four children; his children, Elizabeth Rogers and her son Luke, Andrew Rogers and Hayley Rogers; his sister, Susan Corbin (Charles); two brothers, James Rogers (Abigail) and Steven Rogers (Mandy); and many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Benny was also preceded in death by his grandparents.
Benny has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
