Jesse Thomas Auvil Jr., 84, of Tunnelton, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Stonerise Kingwood.
He was born Jan. 16, 1937, in Etam, a son of the late Jesse T. Auvil Sr., and Elizabeth R. Bolyard Auvil.
Jesse was a loving brother, worked on his farm and enjoyed his family. He worked for Sheidow Bronze and was a member of the Victory Christian Church and attended the Rowlesburg Southern Baptist Church.
He is survived by his brother, Lee Auvil and wife Judy, of Tunnelton; a half brother, Carl Sypolt, of Rowlesburg; his sister, Silva Teets, of Brave, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Ethel Sigley, Mary Moats, Betty Teets and Dolly Griffith.
Friends may call at the Burke Funeral Home in Rowlesburg, from noon-2 p.m., the funeral hour, Saturday, May 1, with Pastor Kevin Keplinger officiating. Interment will follow in the Etam Cemetery.
Lee and Judy Auvil would like to thank the Doctors, nurses and staff members at Stonerise Kingwood for their care given to Jesse.
