Roy ”Dink” Stone, 83, of Cheat Lake, passed away peacefully at his home on April 23, 2021.
Dink served in The United States Marine Corps, where he then came home and worked happily as a coal miner, where he retired after many years of loyalty to the coal mines. Dink had many friends and family, including Mary Luzader and Rita Lewellyn.
Dink is survived by one son, Richard Nolf; two sisters, Sigrid Williams and Karen Bowers; one brother, Clarence Stone; three grandchildren, Wendi Gaskill, Billy Loveridge and Shannon Loveridge; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Carol Stone; son, Roy Stone Jr.; daughter, Ladreana “Gale” Loveridge; and two brothers, Willis and John Stone.
There will be no service, for Dink wished to be cremated and be placed next to his family and on the tree farm in Bruceton Mills where he happily spent his free time mowing grass.
He will be always be loved and missed.
