Arnell (Avenell) Baldwin, 91, of Morgantown, formerly of Laurel Point, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at Stonerise Morgantown. She was born Dec. 21, 1929, in Persinger, a daughter of the late Pleasant Bert Jenkins and Ada Barnette Jenkins.
Arnell had been employed by J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Mon Health Medical Center and the Mon County Board of Education.
Arnell is survived by one daughter, Barbara O’Neal; two sons, Owen Baldwin Jr. and Lawrence Baldwin; two sisters, Patricia Grubb and Betty Butcher; one brother, Roger Jenkins; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Arnell was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Baldwin Sr.; one son, Thomas Baldwin; and nine siblings.
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover, from 10 a.m.-noon, Thursday. She will be laid to rest at Beverly Hills Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses. COVID-19 guidelines are to be followed.
