145 ballots cast through four days of early voting

MORGANTOWN — With 29 ballots cast on Friday and 43 on Saturday, a total of 145 city residents have gotten to the polls in the first four days of early voting in the Morgantown municipal election.

Early voting runs through April 24. The city council election — which this year includes a referendum on council term lengths — will be held April 27.

This year, one early voting poll has different hours.

State code requires the city hall polling location be open during regular business hours. Since Morgantown runs on a four-day work week, the city hall poll is open 7a.m.-5:30p.m. Monday-Thursday. It is closed on Friday and open 9a.m.-5p.m. on Saturday.

The second early voting location, North Side Fire Station, is open Monday-Friday 8a.m.-5p.m. and 9a.m.-5p.m. on Saturday.
