MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — Autumn Stemple had herself quite a day Thursday.
In helping the Hawks sweep Hampshire in a doubleheader, 18-2 and 16-0, Stemple pitched a three-inning no-hitter in the second game and also combined to go a perfect 5 of 5 with five RBIs.
Lauren Huebsch hit a home run and drove in five runs in the first game and then added an RBI triple in the second game for the Hawks.
Ally Jansen also combined for three hits and five RBIs.
Stemple’s no-hitter also saw her strike out nine and walk just one.
Hannah Andrigo picked up the win on the mound for UHS in the first game. She pitched four innings and allowed four hits, while striking out three.
