MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Senior left-handed pitcher Jackson Wolf of the West Virginia baseball team has been named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Monday, March 29.
Wolf tossed 7.1 innings of shutout ball in the Mountaineers’ 11-0 win over Kansas to open conference play on Friday, March 26, at Monongalia County Ballpark in Morgantown. The Gahanna, Ohio, native allowed just four hits and two walks, while tying his career high in strikeouts, with eight.
Wolf conceded just two hits to the Jayhawks through the first seven innings of action, earning his second victory of the season.
