Joellen Turley Trippett, 56, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at home in Star City. She was born Dec. 29, 1964, in Welch, a daughter of Penny Turley and the late Rev. J. William (Bill) Turley.
Joellen was a resident of Morgantown for 40 years. She attended Morgantown High School.
Surviving to treasure her precious memory are her mother, Penny Turley and companion Mike Grant, of Maidsville; sister, Tracy Williams, of Anderson, S.C.; nieces, Caitlin Dantzic, of Pittsburgh, Justine Culhane, of Seven Springs, N.C.; nephew, Harrison Turley, of Lancaster, Pa.; great-nieces, Leila, Elleora, Harper, Gabi and Liv; and several special aunts, uncles, cousins and a special sister-in-law, Charlotte Donaldson. She is also survived by one very special friend since 10th grade, Connie Barnett.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles (Chuck) Trippett and brother, Matthew E. Turley.
Joey, as she was known by her family, had a big loving heart. She prevailed with love and power over many difficulties in her life. She was a powerhouse of beauty that reflected in her friendships and in her beautiful flower gardens. She never met a stranger. She was humorous and her laughter was contagious. She lit up any room she entered. Her thoughtfulness was genuine, and she had the gift of gifting.
Her soul now rests in God’s arms and in those who went before her. She was one of a kind and can never be replaced. Joellen, rest in peace where there is no pain and know you made a difference in the world. You are forever loved.
