Clay-Battelle boys trounce Paden City 84-53

BLACKSVILLE, W.Va. — The Clay-Battelle boys’ basketball team had five different players eclipse double-digit figures in scoring in its 84-53 win over Paden City on Thursday, March 11.

Mojo Chisler led the Cee-Bees (3-1) in scoring with 18 points. Gavin Moore scored 17, Austin Piper netted 15, Chase Ammons had 11 and Michael Payton added 10.

“We played great team basketball this evening, with multiple players contributing. The boys looked to make the extra pass tonight and the shooting percentages were where we wanted them to be,” C-B coach Josh Kisner said.

Clay-Battelle will play again at 7 p.m. Monday, March 15, at Hundred.
