Bryan Bledsoe

Bryan Arnold Bledsoe, 62, of Morgantown, passed away on March 5, 2021, in Morgantown. Bryan was born in Salem, Ind. on May 10, 1958, to Arnold and Frances (Bundy) Bledsoe. He married Mary Sue Gadlage in August 1978.

Bryan worked for the Bureau of Prisons for 29 years, during which time he developed numerous friendships that became family. He was an active member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Morgantown. He enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, golfing, kayaking, playing cards, trivia, chocolate, pickleball, traveling and everything Indiana.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Mary Sue, of Morgantown; two sons, Travis Bledsoe (Sarah), of Morgantown, and Evan Bledsoe (April,) of Berlin, N.H.; daughter, Kacy Casto (Wes), of Morgantown; eight grandchildren, Amaya, Jordan, Elijah, Sydney, Tucker, Owen, Crosby and Lincoln; two brothers, Brad Bledsoe (Kathy) and Barry Bledsoe, sisters-in-law; Linda Jacobs (Arrol) and Chris Kluemper (John); brothers-in-law; David Gadlage and Bernard Gadlage (Iris), uncle, Larry Bledsoe (Mary Ann); aunt, Dorothy Allen; aunt, Paulette Purkhiser (Ray); aunt, Phyllis Wilkinson; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; twin sons, Justin and Jordan; grandparents; aunt, Peggy Stackhouse; sister-in-law, Kathleen Schnell; and brother-in-law, Donnie Schnell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Ind. at 11 a.m. Friday, March 12, with burial to follow in St. Celestine Cemetery. A visitation will be held at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine, Ind. from 9 a.m. Friday until the 11 a.m. Mass time. Masks and social distancing will be required for the visitation and Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Celestine Catholic Church, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Morgantown or a charity of your choosing.
