Hugh Frederick “Pat” Jones, 81, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at his home. He was born Feb. 27, 1940 in Wheeling, a son of the late Hugh and Mildred Wolfe Jones.
Pat honorably served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. After his discharge from the Army, Pat worked as a machinist for FMC and then EIMCO. He was also employed as a bus driver for West Virginia University until his retirement. Pat was active with the Senior Monongalians and enjoyed singing for the Senior Monongalians with the group Country Pride.
Pat is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Linda Jones; daughters, Debbie Jones and Suzanne Schiwitz and husband Johnny; and a granddaughter, Marissa Schiwitz.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother.
