MORGANTOWN — A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday on W.Va. 7 near Masontown, according to authorities.
At 11 a.m. Wednesday, Trooper First Class L.S. Hall, of the Kingwood Detachment of West Virginia State Police, responded to a single-vehicle accident on W.Va. 7, east of Masontown in front of RN Performance. A silver Ford Focus was traveling westbound, departed the roadway and struck a power pole guy wire.
The vehicle overturned multiple times and came to rest in the parking lot.
The driver was identified as Arvelva Roberta McCrobie, 76, who died on scene after life-saving efforts were made.
After the initial investigation, it appeared McCrobie suffered a medical emergency prior to the crash.
