KINGWOOD, W.Va. — Carsynn Sines scored 18 points as the Preston High girls’ basketball team defeated Elkins, 61-42, to start the season.
Michelle Thomas scored 16 points and Breanna Sphar scored 11 for the Knights (1-0).
“ It was a good start to the season. We had great energy,” Preston head coach Brian Miller said. “That allowed us to get everyone a lot of playing time in the second half and get several players some good varsity experience.”
PHS will play again at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 5, at Buckhannon-Upshur.
