MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The West Virginia women’s basketball team (17-3, 11-3 Big 12) moved up to No. 18 in the latest Associated Press Top-25 Poll, announced Monday, Feb. 22.
The Mountaineers received 244 points to move up one spot in the poll this week. WVU is ranked behind No. 17 Georgia (17-4) and in front of No. 19 Kentucky (15-6). Baylor (17-2, 12-1) is the other Big 12 team featured in this week’s poll, ranking No. 7 with 588 points.
West Virginia has now ranked in the AP Top 25 for the last five weeks, the longest stretch since a season ago when WVU ranked inside the top 25 for seven weeks in a row.
