Phyllis Ann Craig, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 18, at home surrounded by her
family.
Phyllis was born on May 17 1946, in Amonate, the daughter of the late Clyde Edward and Margaret Ann (Lowman) Boothe.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to caring for others and had a special love for all children. She spent many joyous years running a daycare out of her home. She was also a long-standing member of the Sabraton Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Glen Craig, her high school sweetheart, who she was married to for over 54 years; her two daughters, Mechelle Craig and Kelley Craig; grandson, Devin Craig Dickens; siblings, Audrey Aunspaugh, Betty White and Clyde “Buz” Boothe; and many other loving relatives and close friends. The family would thank the WV Caring organization and the many caregivers that helped care for her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Boothe.
In accordance with her wishes, Hastings Funeral Home will be providing cremation services. The family will receive friends and visitors at Sabraton Baptist Church from 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, until the time of the memorial service at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Scott Whetzel officating.
Although guests are invited to come visit, it is required, per the Governor and CDC pandemic guidelines, that all visitors wear face masks and practice social distancing.
