Cathie was an active member of many organizations, including the international teacher honorary (Alpha Delta Kappa), American Guild of Organists, Daughters of the American Revolution and Morgantown Music Club.
Her church family and close circle of friends will miss her kindness, smiles and gifted talents. Her compassion and concern for others was evident by the many cards and calls she made for birthdays, anniversaries, get well wishes and thinking of you notes.
Her family and friends would like to express sincere thanks and gratitude to the wonderful ICU team at Mon Health Medical Center who surrounded her with the best care possible and became her extended family when family could not be close. Their phone calls, updates, and compassion were incredible. These workers will be remembered as the face of hope in this pandemic.
Private burial and a celebration of Cathie’s life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to First Christian Church, 100 Cobun Avenue, Morgantown, or the charity of your choice.
