A Florida man is charged with selling drugs to an undercover member of the Mon Metro Drug Task Force over a period of 10 months – including while at his job. Charles Teeters, 31, is charged with four counts of possession with intent to deliver – methamphetamine.
The first task force buy from Teeters was on Feb. 21, 2020, at his apartment on Richwood Avenue, according to a criminal complaint. Teeters sold the undercover 3.9 grams of meth for $200 in “copied task force funds.”
Five days later, the undercover asked Teeters about buying a “ball” of meth for $200. Teeters said to meet him near his house, according to the complaint. Later that day, the agent picked Teeters up on Charles Street and bought 3.7 grams of methamphetamine for $200 while in the vehicle.
On March 6, the undercover again reached out to Teeters about buying a “ball” for $200. The complaint said Teeters told the agent to come to his job at Town Hill Tavern and order a take-out hot dog. The undercover went to Town Hill and Teeters took his order for a hot dog, the complaint said. Teeters came back to the table with a to-go hot dog box with 3.85 grams of methamphetamine and the agent paid $200.
On Nov. 9, after being asked about buying meth, Teeters told the undercover to pick him up at a house on Grafton Road, according to the complaint. After the undercover picked up Teeters and a woman, Teeters tried to contact someone to fill the order.
The complaint said after several unsuccessful attempts, Teeters told the undercover he would “owe” them the rest and gave them 1.36 grams of meth and 1.29 grams of marijuana for $160.
Teeters was arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court on Friday and is being held in North Central Regional Jail on $40,00 bond.
