Dorothy Kay Everson, 68, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2021, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones and devoted family.
Dorothy Kay was born Aug. 15, 1952, in Preston County, a daughter of the late Paul Ernest and Virginia Maude (Faber) Zinn.
She is survived by her three children, Richard Lee Everson and spouse Jackie, of Asheboro, N.C., Tanya Marie Stone and spouse William, of Preston County, and James Albert Clemens and spouse Chrissy Richards, of Morgantown; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Paula Nicholson and spouse Jerry, of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Renea Carder, and a sister, Rose Zinn Robinson Baughman.
Mrs. Everson enjoyed camping and spending time with all of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Family and friends may join the family to honor Dorothy’s life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover/Morgantown from 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26 until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. officiated by Pastor Dan Meadows. Following the funeral service, her request to be cremated will be honored by her family.
