Anthony G. “Doc” Sago Jr., 70, of Metz, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020, in J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, in Morgantown.
He was born Jan. 21, 1950 at Wadestown, a son of the late Anthony G. Sago and Alberta L. Arnett Sago.
Doc was a retired coal miner and retired from Eastern Associated Coal Company Federal #2 mine.
Mr. Sago was a very faithful member of Truth Assembly Chapel. He loved to go to church and see his church family. He looked forward to seeing each and every one of them.
Surviving are his wife, Judith Lehew Sago; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Wilda Sago; one brother, Richard Sago; one nephew, David “Skeeter” Sago; and three stepchildren.
Funeral services will be at the Truth Assembly Chapel held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Jason Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the Olive Cemetery at Pentress.
The Tennant Funeral Home in Hundred is in charge of arrangements.
