Carolyn Ann Robertson, 79, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, at the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown.
She was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Claude Allen Howard and Ruth Marigold Hartley Thurston. She was a stepdaughter of the late Edwin Ross Thurston.
She graduated from Inglewood High School in Inglewood, Calif. She had performed administrative work for several businesses.
Carolyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Morgantown Ward. She had held several offices in the church. The calling that she enjoyed the most was serving as music primary director. Carolyn loved to sing and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her children, Chimene Benson, of Rexburg, Idaho, Dion Robertson, Bryan Robertson, Sean Robertson, Colin Robertson and D’lynn Simmonds, all of the Seattle area; nine granddaughters; 13 grandsons; one great-granddaughter; and five great-grandsons. She is also survived by three sisters, Gloria Pratt, of Morgantown, Rosemary Thurston and Nancy Thurston both of Yuma, Ariz.; two brothers, Roland Thurston, of Waycross, Ga., and Boyd Thurston, of Provo, Utah; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A brother, Edwin Thurston, and a sister, Marie Damanio, predeceased her.
Graveside services and burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Park, North Hollywood, Calif.
