Arlena Kimberly “Kim” Marie Richards, 35, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at WVU Medicine — J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Kim was born Dec. 22, 1985, in Morgantown, a daughter of Preston Posey, of Kerneysville, and the late Rebecca Rowan.
Survivors include two children, Brianna Richards and Paul “Bubby” Richards; two sisters, Cassandra Posey and Rachel Pretzel and her husband Nathan; as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother Arlene Dalton.
She was a strong, independent woman with a backbone that no one could break. She was a very loving and caring mother with a big heart for her family and friends, as well as animals. Kim enjoyed dancing with her son and mother.
Friends may join the family to honor her life and legacy at Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Road, Morgantown from 10 a.m. Thursday, December 31 until the time of the funeral service at noon officiated by Pastor Donna Dalton. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Guests at the church are required to wear a face covering, practice social distancing and limit your visit with the family to 15 minutes or less.
