Shirley Ann Wolfe Cordwell, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, at her daughter’s home. She was born Aug. 8, 1936, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Charles and Norma Edith (Hagedorn) Wolfe.
She was a member of Mellon Chapel Church in Morgantown. Her greatest love was her family and being a homemaker. Her door was always open to family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Robert Cordwell Jr. and his wife Rochelle, of Ohio, Ronald Cordwell, of Georgia, Rebecca Wilhelm and her husband Tim, of West Virginia, Richard Cordwell and his wife Kim, of West Virginia, Roger Cordwell, of Ohio, and Ruth Berry and her husband Martin, of West Virginia;
15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Vivian Pugh, of West Virginia, Karen Webb, of Maryland, and Robert Wolfe and his wife Candy, of West Virginia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Phillip Cordwell, who passed away in 1983; her companion, George Berry; siblings, Norma Wolfe, Wayne Wolfe and his wife Mary, Harry Wolfe, Donald Wolfe, Dennis Wolfe and Ronald “Jack” Wolfe.

Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with private graveside services. Due to COVID-19, all services will be private at this time and a memorial service for the public will be planned for a later date.
