Andrew J. Huffman III, of Waynesburg, Pa., passed away peacefully in his sleep at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown after a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 20, 1939, a son of the late Andrew J. Huffman Jr. and Marie Seals Huffman.
Mr. Huffman previously worked at Consolidation Coal Company Blacksville #2 Mine, retiring in 1995 after 28 years of service. He will always be remembered for his love of CB radios, nice vehicles and especially his 2012 Honda Goldwing Trike, of which he still rode up until this past August. He enjoyed going to the Cracker Barrel and the Huddle House where he met many new friends in both places and you might say that he became part of their furniture. All of the employees loved him and enjoyed his company. He was well taken care of by all and his smile talking about it was priceless.
Surviving are a daughter, Janet (Huffman) Britton, of Morgantown; a son, Andrew J. Huffman IV, of Carmichaels, Pa.; a grandson, Michael Britton, of Morgantown; a granddaughter, Alicia (Nathan) Baker, of Waynesburg, Pa.; a great-grandson, Colby Baker, of Waynesburg, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Donna Huffman, of Waynesburg, Pa.; a sister, Weedena (John) Barclay, of Henderson, Colo.; two brothers, Carl (Ann) Huffman, of Carmichaels, Pa., and Rex (Patty) Huffman, also of Carmichaels, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marionetta Tennant Huffman, who died on July 6, 2014; a son, Randy James Huffman, who died Sept. 4, 1964; and a grandson, Adam Britton, who died Jan. 16, 1987.
