Lutechia Butcher

Lutechia Marie Butcher, of Barrackville, departed this life on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020.

She was born June 28, 1942, a daughter of the late Kenneth Moore and Maxine Wringer Moore, of Mooresville, Monongalia County.

Lutechia is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Freddie Lee Butcher, and their four children: Vickie (Richard) Hall, Rodney (Tracie) Butcher, Kevin (Jodi) Butcher and David Butcher. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Steven Hall, Rachel Hall Meador, Jarod Butcher, Katie Butcher Davis, Logan Butcher, Morgan Butcher, Kory Butcher, Trevor Butcher, Kyle Butcher and Tristen Butcher; and great-grandchildren: Blake Conners, Jamison Meador, Sylas Butcher, Lily Butcher, Braxton Davis, Owen Davis and Archie Bryan. Also surviving are three brothers, Philip Moore, Roger (Ruby) Moore and Kenny (Sharon) Moore and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her dog and companion, Trixie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Butcher, and her mother-in-law, Pansy Lowther.

Lutechia was a homemaker and loved being a Mimi. Her favorite pastimes included spending Sunday afternoons with her family and attending auctions and yard sales.

A graveside service will be held at the IOOF Cemetery at Enterprise with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery at Enterprise.

The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
