MORGANTOWN — The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Monday morning incident on Brookhaven Road which was reported as a shooting.
Two suspects are detained in connection to the incident, said Chief Deputy Al Kisner. However, as of Monday afternoon, no charges have been filed and detectives are continuing the investigation to determine what kind of charges may be filed.
Kisner said the victim was taken to the hospital with injuries to his hands, legs and head which were sustained when jumping out of a window, Kisner said. No gunshot wound was found.
Deputies were dispatched to 89 Brookhaven Road at 7:19 a.m. for the incident, according to MECCA 911.
On Monday morning, a second-story window on the rear of the apartment building was broken with a red curtain hanging out of it. There was also blood on and around the back of the building.
More information was unavailable in time for this report due to the on-going investigation.
