Frederick Irving Mills, 79, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday Dec. 17, 2020, at Stonerise Healthcare, Kingwood. He was born, Sept. 12, 1941, in Morgantown, a son of the late Irving Markham Mills and Beatrice Lance Mills. He attended Morgantown High School and received his GED while serving in the U.S. Navy. Frederick made his career with American General Life Insurance Company as a sales agent and a manager for the company. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Field Mills, of Morgantown; two sons, Chad Irving Mills, of Everson, Pa., and Nathan Scott Mills (Victoria Jade Collins), of Morgantown; three daughters, Tanja Hauter, of Reston, Va., Robin Renee Mills, of Everson, Pa., and Dawn Marie Beck (Vern W. Beck), of Apollo, Pa.; stepson, Scott Belcher (Katharine), of Morgantown; sister, Janet Watkins, of California; grandchildren, Amber Causer, Danielle Stants, Christopher Stants, Mark Stants, Joshua Mills, Seth Hauter, Brandy Bebeau, and Elise Belcher; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The Mills family would like to thank Stonerise Healthcare (Pine Ridge), Amedysis Hospice and Stonerise caregivers for the thoughtful, caring and loving support during Frederick’s illness.
Visitation will be at Dering-Henson Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 22 until the 11 a.m. service hour with Pastor John Summers officiating.
Due to the current pandemic, facial coverings will be required as well as social distancing.
