Sue Peters

Sue Ellen Peters, 81, of Morgantown, went home to be with Jesus Christ, Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020. She is reunited with her daughter, Cindy, a few precious relatives and her many friends whose faith is placed in Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection in payment for our sins. Sue was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., Feb. 9, 1939, a daughter of the late Harold and Nora Searles of Siren, Wis.

Sue was known for her work with rabbits and horses in 4-H in Seattle and was a life member of the American Dutch Rabbit Club. She was known for her story telling and active dramatic Bible teaching opportunities at Faith Baptist and Grace Bible Church. Her enthusiasm, care, interest in others and deep loyalty to her friends was part of her personality. She was a faithful member of Grace Bible Church. She was truly a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, whose frequent chats, loud laughter and loving banter will leave a great void. Ultimately, her love for Jesus Christ was contagious for those of us who knew her.
Sue is survived by her husband, Penn Peters; sister and husband, Linda and Craig Root; children and spouses; Tim and Julianne Peters, Jenny Peters and Joe and Michelle Peters; grandchildren, Ty Sisti and Kacie and Josh Yokitis; Robert and Kristin Peters, Becky and Stephen Brown, Billy and Grace Peters and James and Kristina Peters; great-grandchildren, Nora, Luna, Joshua, Everly, Lorie, Michelle, Colleen, Christina, Brooklynn, Michael, Asher and William.

Friends and family will be received for visitation at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19. Interment will take place at East Oak Grove Cemetery. According to CDC guidelines, all guests are asked to wear face masks and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, condolences may be sent to Grace Bible Church, P.O. Box 641, Dellslow, WV 26531.
