Howard Lemoyne Raber, 84, of Wooster, Ohio, went home to his Lord and Savior Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, with his family by his side.
Howard was born Sept. 25, 1936, in Morgantown, to Howard and Georgia (Snodgrass) Raber. He grew up in a loving home.
He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Kennedy, and they were married for 65 years.
Howard worked for the College of Wooster as the director of food service for 25 years. He was a member of North Life Baptist Church. Howard was a self-taught wood carver and loved going to Montana to fly fish with his family and friends. He and his wife traveled to each state mostly in their 5th wheel camper.
Howard will be deeply missed by his wife; daughter, Deborah (Cameron) Heasley, of Wooster, Ohio; son, Howard Raber II, of Cortland, Ohio; grandchildren, Jason and Lara Heasley, Jessica and Sean Holton and Hanna Raber; and great-grandchildren Cade, Brandt, Karis, Nathaniel and Micah.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela Miller; infant son; granddaughter, Jennifer; and two sisters, Betty Pitrole and Mary Lloyd.
Per the family’s wishes, there will be no services. Roberts Funeral Home — Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, Ohio, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Life Baptist Church at 2437 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, OH 44691 or LifeCare Hospice at 1900 Akron Road Wooster, OH 44691.
