George F. McCoy, 76, of Daybrook, died Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, in the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born Dec. 6, 1943, at Daybrook, a son of the late William Luther McCoy and Florence Foley McCoy.
George was a retired coal mine shaft worker.
Surviving are one brother, Nimrod McCoy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mazzie McCoy; and brothers and sisters, Anna Pearl McCoy, Mary Tennant, Edna Carpenter, Lucy Varner, Thomas McCoy, Florence McCoy, Nancy McCoy, Dennis McCoy, Henry McCoy and Sabastin Earl McCoy.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Freddie Eddy II officiating. Interment will follow in the McCoy Cemetery at Daybrook.
