Fire does minor damage to house
The Morgantown Fire Department responded to a small fire Thursday in a home on Pearl Avenue.
Capt. Keith Summers said there was a minor fire in one room that was put out quickly and there was little damage, considering.
No one was home and the house appeared to be lived in, he said.
The MFD was called to 528 Pearl Ave. at about 1:15 p.m.
Access for the fire trucks was the biggest problem, Summers said. The home sits near the intersection with East Prospect Street, and roads in the area are very narrow with drop-offs.
