On Nov. 8, 2020, Edward “Ed” Metheny, 65, of Masontown, W.Va., passed from this world and into the arms of his Heavenly Father for eternity. The son of Edward & Ruth Metheny, of Reedsville, Ed was married to his loving wife, Anna (Upole) Metheny, and would have celebrated their 47th anniversary on the day of his passing. Ed and Anna have a daughter and three grandchildren whom he loved dearly. Having a deep and abiding love for the Lord, Ed was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship on Grafton Road in Morgantown. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage building birdhouses and spending time with their dogs.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Great Dane, Sassy.
Ed is survived by his wife, Anna, of the home; and a daughter, Carla King, of Morgantown, and her three children, Cyrena, Vanden and Cheyenne. Ed was also survived by a sister, Linda Shaffer and husband Bernie, of Reedsville; and a brother, Joe Keenan and wife Eileen, of Westminster, Md.
Honoring Edwards wishes, cremation services are being provided by Fred Jenkins Funeral Home and a celebration of life will take place at a later date for family.
