Edgar Wallace Robinson, 86, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2020 at Sundale Nursing Home. Edgar was born on Nov. 21, 1933, a son of the late Benjamin and Katherine McCarthy Robinson.
Edgar spent his working days as a coal miner for Duquesne Light. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and loved cheering on the Steelers.
Edgar is survived by his daughter, Kim Murray (Doug, of Cheat Lake; grandchildren, Nichet Rogers (Mark), of Cheat Lake, and Tyson Murray (Katie) and their family, of Morgantown; great-granddaughter, Alexis Shine; and great-great-grandchildren Waylon Jennings and Rainah Shine, all of Morgantown.
In addition to his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by his wife, A. Joyce Robinson; sisters, Eleanor Jenkins, Betty Jenkins and Nora Cooley; and brother, Robert Robinson.
In honoring Edgar’s wishes, McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services.
Edgar will be laid to rest with his wife at Fletcher Cemetery. A private burial will be held at a later date.
