James Warren “JW” “Mcconk” Pickett, 82, of Philippi, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020. He was born in Morgantown to the late Lewis and Mary Helen Ashworth Pickett.
James was a self-employed taxidermist. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
James is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mari Dionne; two sons, Jason Pickett, of West Virginia, and Lincoln Pickett Sr., of Maryland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Lew Boyce, of Morgantown.
Honoring James’ wishes cremation services are being provided by Fred Jenkins Funeral Home and a memorial service will take place at a later date.
