Scotty Ray Cost, 49, of Maidsville, was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2020, from the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. Born in Morgantown on June 22, 1971, he was the beloved son of Clara (Faulknier) Edgell, of Maidsville, and Robert and Nora Cost, of Charles Town.
Scott had worked in a distribution center for supplies for the U.S. Government.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Kelsey Williams and husband Ryan and Brittara Cost; three grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Robert and Eugenia Cost, of Fairmont and Lee Edgell Jr. and Samantha, of Point Marion, Pa.; a sister Tammy Jeffries and her husband Dennis, of Stephens City, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Timmy Cost, and his stepfather, the Rev. Lee Roy Edgell.
The family will receive friends in the Crusade for Jesus Apostolic Church, U.S. Route 119 North of Point Marion, Pa. from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. Thursday until the 1 p.m. hour of service with Bishop Glenn Walker, officiating. Interment follows in Fort Martin Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa.
The family extends their gratitude to the Summers Nursing and Rehab Center in Hinton (Summers County), for the loving care given to Scotty during his stay there.
