James Edward Buretz, 85, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at Sundale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. James was born in Baxter (Marion County), on Jan. 10, 1935 to the late Matt Buretz and Anna Elizabeth Yedlosky Buretz.
James worked for many years as a service station operator at Bonded and Texaco and enjoyed buying and selling antiques. He was Catholic by faith. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
James is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joann Neer Buretz; son, James Merl Buretz, of Morgantown; two granddaughters, Jennifer Nicole Buretz, of California, and Brittany Rose Buretz, of Texas; and two great-grandchildren in Texas.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Matthew Buretz; two sisters, Mary Stanley and Margie Seeley; and two brothers, Steve Buretz and Leo Buretz.
