MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Emily Lattea notched a hat trick as the University High girls’ soccer team defeated Linsly, 5-0, on Thursday.
Chloe Downs and Mia Travis each scored a goal for the Hawks (6-5-1). Heather Brunner picked up three assists, while Downs and Tristen Bright each had one. Lizzy Edwards made four saves in the net to get the shutout.
The Hawks will play again at 6 p.m. Monday against Buckhannon-Upshur in the sectional semifinal.
