Lyle Samuel Hefner, 62, of Masontown, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at his home.
He was born in Morgantown on April 12, 1958, a son of the late Ernest Lyle Hefner and Goldie Katherine (Myers) Hefner Shaffer, who also passed away on October 13.
Friends may call at the Field Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 with Bishop Allen Jeffries officiating. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Masontown W.Va.
Due to COVID-19, safety precautions will be taken, the social distancing 6-foot rule will be honored and all guests, whose health allow, are to wear a mask. For the safety of everyone, we politely ask that visitors do not linger at the funeral home after seeing the Hefner family.
