Cleo “Sis” Margaret Skarzinski, 81, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at Mapleshire Nursing Home on Monday, Oct. 12, 2020. Cleo was born in Rivesville, on Jan. 24, 1939, to the late Patrick and Letha Mae Smith Dailey.
Cleo worked primarily as a homemaker and greatly enjoyed caring for the needs of her family as wife, mother and grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and sewing and spoiling her and her husband, Joseph’s, pet cats.
Cleo leaves behind her husband, Joseph Ray Skarzinski; daughter, Joey Lyneen Skarzinski, of Charleston, S.C.; her grandson, Jon Tice “Granny’s Boy,” of Charleston, S.C.; sister, Ruby Dailey; sister-in-law, Sheila Shaffer-White (David) of Idamay, WV; sister-in-law, Kathy Cain, of Fairmont; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Cleo was preceded in death by three sisters, Pat, Bridget and Claudia; four brothers, Fred, Doug, Bob and John; and her brother-in-law, Delmas Cain.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Mapleshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and WV Caring Hospice for the love and support shown to Cleo and her family.
