Katherine Louise Pickenpaugh Beatty, 94, of the Cheat Neck Community went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020. She was born July 30, 1926, daughter of the late Thomas and Avy Pickenpaugh.
She was a loving homemaker, an excellent cook and a treasure to family and friends.
Katherine was a godly woman who loved the Lord and her family. Her life is an example to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Katherine is survived by three children, Charles Eugene Beatty and wife, Mary Alice, of Heathsville, Va. , Linda Sue Morrell and husband Joseph Douglas, of Piney Flats, Tenn. and Kathy Jaye Wasco, of Gray, Tenn.; and six grandchildren, Brendan Beatty, of Waldorf, Md., Bevin Beatty, of Waldorf, Md., Paul Morrell, of Maryville, Tenn., Kimberly Parker and husband Jason, of Alma, Ark., Matthew Wasco and wife Nicolette, of Moyock, N.C., and Rachel McAlister and husband David, of Gray, Tenn. She was also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Katherine is preceded in death by by her husband, Junior Paul Beatty, and brothers, James and Charles Pickenpaugh.
Hastings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Private family services will be scheduled at a later date.
