Dewey Perry

Dewey Zeak Perry, 80, of Kingwood, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020 at his residence.

He was born April 28, 1940, in Malakoff, Texas, and was the son of the late Dewey and Lilly Mary (Medford) Perry.

Dewey served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Kingwood. He was a Past Master of Sunrise Daylight Lodge #1433 in Fort Worth, Texas and served as the District Deputy Grand Master for the State of Texas; a member and Past Master of Preston Lodge # 90 A.F. & A.M. in Kingwood, President of Preston County Senior Citizens Board of Directors and Past President of the Kingwood Senior Center Club.

Dewey loved and enjoyed his family, friends, animals, church and lodge. He was a big country music fan and enjoyed staying busy with his love for bingo, crossword puzzles and games, such as cards and Yahtzee.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Marie Perry, three sons; David Perry and wife, Miranda, of Athens, Texas, Paul Noll, of Kingwood, and Mark Noll, of Redwing, Minn.; three daughters, Gina Thompson of Swananoa, N.C., Jodi Zambino and husband, Richard, of Benbrook, Texas, and Rebecca Sanchez, of Arlington, Texa; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Moseman, Morgan Perry Overton, Anthony Zeak Zambino, Shelsea Sanchez, Geven Sankhez, Landon Billingsley, Dorian Perry and Indi Griffis; and two great-grandchildren, Steven and Claire Moseman.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Gailey and Agnes McEntire.

Friends will be received at the Rotruck-Lobb Kingwood Chapel, 295 South Price St. from 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8 to the 7:30 p.m. memorial/prayer service with Father S. A. Arokiadass, H.G.N. officiating. Social distancing and masks are requested.
