Dean Culton, 61, recently of Largo, Fla., passed away peacefully on Sept. 23, 2020, after an illness. Dean was born May 10, 1959, in Santa Monica, Calif. He is the son of Guy Gordon (Pete) Culton and the late June Houston Culton, of Nashville, Tenn.
Dean is survived by his sons, Grant Guy Culton and Garret Paul Culton, and by his ex-wife, Paulette Alexander Culton, all of Morgantown. He is also survived by a brother, David Culton (Kathy); a sister, Denise Culton Guidos (Steve); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Catie Culton.
Dean was best known for his talent as a custom home builder and as an avid golfer. Although Dean designed some of the most unique homes in Morgantown, his greatest accomplishments were his two sons whom he deeply loved. Dean will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
As per his wishes, his remains will be scattered by his family in a location that Dean selected. A celebration of Dean’s life will be held at a later date.
