The Washington Prime Group, owners of the Morgantown Mall, have tapped Felicia Posey, a local multi-unit retail management specialist, as the new general manager of the mall.
Posey, who was previously with The John Maxwell Team, a human capital consultancy, became a certified leadership expert with John Maxwell in 2018. She has also worked with multiple chambers of commerce across north-central West Virginia.
In her new role, Posey, who replaces Lisa Martin, will be running as retail center with more than 65 national and local retail, dining and entertainment options.
Recently, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, a Harrisburg, Pa.-based deep discounter, announced plans to move into space occupied by Belk department store, which left the mall in 2018.
Also, Appalachian Axe Co. of Westover, which offers patrons a chance to throw axes at bullseye targets and sells handcrafted goods, went into space between Bath and Body Works and Ace’s Breakaway and Play and Dunham’s Sports recently opened in the former Elder Beerman department store space.
Posey, who holds a business administration degree from Fairmont State University, started in her new position this month. Her new duties include building strong partnerships with the community and serving as the mall’s Goodwill Ambassador.
“My goal is to ensure our center provides positive experiences for our guests and tenants,” Posey said in a release.
