The body found in a wooded area near Trope Hill has been confirmed as James “Travis” Price.
Monongalia County Sheriff Perry Palmer said the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his identity. The body was sent to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office in Charleston on Sept. 18.
The investigation into Price’s death is ongoing, Palmer said.
Price was reported missing by his family on Sept. 16 and the last they heard from him was Sept. 8.
