A Uniontown, Pa., man was found to be at fault for a July 20 crash on Grafton Road that killed 64-year-old motorcyclist John Tubolino.
That information was released Tuesday by Morgantown Police.
Zachary Druitsky is charged with failing to yield right of way, no insurance, improper registration and driving on a suspended or revoked license, according to Morgantown Communications Director Andrew Stacy.
A criminal complaint for Druitsky was not immediately available. He was not listed as an inmate in the West Virginia Regional Jail system Tuesday afternoon.
Druitsky, who was driving a white 2002 BMW 325i north on U.S. 119 — which is toward downtown Morgantown — attempted to turn left onto Scott Avenue from the turning lane. At the time of the crash, Druitsky had a yellow traffic light and not a green light or green turn arrow, according to the crash report.
Tubolino, riding a 2011 Harley-Davidson Sportster, was traveling south, and as he approached the intersection with Scott Avenue, struck the front passenger side of the BMW, which pulled across his lane of travel.
Tubolino had the right-of-way and Druitsky was at fault for the accident, according to the crash report.
Tubolino died at the scene because of injuries caused in the crash, the report said.
