Michael Kimble, 67, passed away peacefully at his home with his children by his side on Sept. 22, 2020, after a courageous battle with a long illness. Mike was born on Oct. 25, 1952, to Clarence and Virginia Kimble.
He grew up in Morgantown with his parents and three older sisters, Nancy Wilkins, Mary Kathryn Holden and Linda Kimble. He later switched gears and worked for the WVU OIT helpdesk until retirement. He was an avid snowboarder, skateboarder, reader and gardener who forged his own path and built his own house on a hill, where he loved to spend his days.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father and his loving wife, Elizabeth Rodd. He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Wilson and Lauren Ruckle; stepson, Adam Hofer and stepdaughter Fran Jones; and his four grandchildren, Norah Wilson, Tessa Wilson, Wyatt Ruckle and Weston Ruckle.
